Create a Character

Here are the basic steps to creating a character. 

Concept

Choose Paradigm, Template and Origin,  Nature and Demeanor

Attributes

  1. Prioritize the three categories of Attributes: Physical, Mental and Social. Choose in which of these categories your character is good (primary), average (secondary), and poor (tertiary).

  2. All characters start with one free dot in each Attribute.

  3. Divide 7 additional dots among your character's primary Attributes, 5 dots among the secondary Attributes and 3 among the tertiary Attributes.

Talents

  1. Prioritize the three categories of Talents: Abilities (physical), Skills (social), and Knowledges (mental). Choose in which of these categories your character is good (primary), average (secondary), and poor (tertiary).

  2. Divide 13 dots among your character’s primary Talents, 9 among the secondary Talents, and 5 among the tertiary Talents. You may not give your character more than 3 dots in any one Talent at this point.

Advantages

  1. Record starting Affinity (1).

  2. Distribute 5 dots among Specializations.

Traits

  1. Distribute 5 dots among Backgrounds/Merits.

  2. Purchase Flaws to gain more Bonus Points (flaw/merits need GM approval).

  3. Spend Bonus Points based on current campaign/approved Flaws (if any).

  4. Impressions set as follows based on total dots in Affinities as follows:

0-6 -> 1, 7-13 -> 2, 14-20 -> 3, 21-27 -> 4, 28-35 -> 5

Finishing Touches

​Unless your template states otherwise, record the following for starting stats:

  • Fuel per Turn: [Template Aptitude Merit] + Affinity as follows:

 0 -> 1, 1-2 -> 2, 3-6 -> 3, 7-> 5

  • Fuel: 5 + [Template Source Merit] * 3+ [Template Aptitude Merit] * 3;

Set current fuel to max.

  • Willpower: 5;

  • Integrity: track set to 5.
