Leveling Up
There are not fixed levels for the chronicles system. Instead it works on a point buy system. If you join mid campaign you will often get Bonus Points to spend on your character to bring them up to an equivalent level to other characters.
As you play you earn Beats (partial experience earned from critical successes/failures), playing in-character (acting as your Nature or Demeanor states), or MVPC votes (if another character is impressed by your actions). You will also earn full experience for each session based off what occurred in that session.

Attributes and Abilities
Atributes: 5 points per dot
Talent: 3 points per dot
Talent Bonus (Specialty or Expertise): 1 point each min 3 dot in talent, max 3 per ability
Powers
New Affinity: 5 per dot
New Specialization: 3
New Rotes: 1 (unless otherwise noted)
Traits and Willpower
Backgrounds/Merits: as specified
Willpower: 1 point per dot
Purchase Flaws to gain more Bonus Points (flaw/merits need approval from GM).

Attributes Increase: CR* + 4
New Talent: 3
Talent Increase: CR* + 2
New Talent/Attribute Bonus (Specialty or Expertise): 1 (max CR* + 1)
